I was thrilled when so many readers told me they fell in love with Theo and Jamison as the young men fell in love with each other in Finding Giorgio (Found At Last Book 1). In that novella, Theo Stratis, an unlucky in love young accountant, registers at his upstate New York LGBTQ Center to visit an elderly gay person. Theo is matched with Nolan Downes who lives in a local nursing home, where Theo meets gorgeous Jamison Radames, a medical director, who is visiting the same nursing home. Theo and Jamison embark on an exciting adventure to find Giorgio, the love taken away from Nolan by his and Giorgio’s homophobic parents. As Paul Richmond, Associate Art Director at Dreamspinner Press, had done with many of my other books, he created a cover that perfectly highlighted this romantic and deeply emotional novella. On the cover is the old photograph Theo received from Nolan—the picture of young Nolan and Giorgio—embedded in Theo’s contemporary Hudson Valley, New York. It perfectly sets the tone for these special characters and this unique, emotional story.

When the readers begged for more of Theo and Jamison, I wrote Finding Armando, Found At Last book two, where Theo and Jamison now own the Poconos Resort they’ve renamed Nolan Giorgios. The resort manager, gray fox Asher Hillel, pines away for the lost love of his life, Armando Caro, who was taken away from him during the military’s vicious Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell era. So it’s Theo and Jamison again to the rescue in their next adventure to reunite Armando and his first love from the Navy, Armando. After completing the novel, laughing and crying all the way, I couldn’t imagine how Paul could top his cover for Finding Giorgio, but he did! The cover for Finding Armando perfectly captures the love and devotion between Asher and Armando in their youth as surrounded by the Poconos Resort of the present. Thanks, Paul!

And there’s more good news. Dreamspinner Press is also releasing a paperback anthology of the two Found At Last stories combining both beautiful covers! https://www.dreamspinnerpress.com/books/found-at-last-by-joe-cosentino-11671-b

I love horseback riding, though I’m not very skilled. After even a short ride, my bottom Unknown-3and thighs complain, but there’s something about being out in nature on the back of a horse that I love. I especially like long trail rides. My favorite trail ride was an overnight trek to the stunning Stikine River canyon in Northern British Columbia I went on a few years ago.

Unknown-2The ride was challenging, as I had to guide my horse along a narrow, winding trail three hundred meters (984 feet) above the steep-walled gorge. Below us rushed the wild and un-navigable Stikine River. I hung on to the saddle for dear life. Good thing the horse was sure-footed and knew what it was doing.

We rode all day and in the evening, made a rough camp along the bank of a creek. As we sat around the fire boasting of our riding skills and marveling at the beauty of the canyon, the vivid greens and pinks of the northern lights danced and crackled in the night sky, and a lone wolf howled in the distance.  Exhausted and sore, I crawled into my tent, grateful for the opportunity to participate in this trip of a lifetime.

HealingHearts_w13305_750Blurb:

Reeling from loss and heartbreak, Stella King is desperate to escape painful memories. The position of nanny on an isolated ranch in British Columbia’s rugged Chilcotin Plateau seems the answer to her prayers.

Cattle rancher, Dawson Wheeler, has worked hard to overcome grief and build a predictable world for his young daughter. The last thing he needs is the all-too-attractive Stella disrupting the smooth running of his ranch, especially now that disturbing incidents are happening on his property.

Defending his land against those who want to gut it will be a challenge, but the biggest threat of all may be to his heart.

Excerpt:

The back of his neck itched. “You’re Stella King?” Of course she was. Who else would be waiting here at this time of night? Once again he glanced at the photograph clenched in his hand—gray curls, thick glasses, sixty years old. This was the Stella King he’d hired. The itching amped up to a full-out assault.

She stood and held out her hand. “Nice to meet you, Dawson.”

He stumbled back a step, his worst fears confirmed. This gorgeous woman was the nanny he’d hired to look after Deirdre.

Her light blue wool sweater did nothing to hide the rounded mounds of her breasts. Her legs looked a mile long in the white denim, skin tight, designer jeans tucked into a pair of knee-high, high-heeled, black leather boots. Her perfume wafted on the evening breeze, a heady mix of spring flowers and something subtle but decidedly feminine.

He struggled to swallow, but his throat was parched, his tongue as dry as old leather against the roof of his mouth.

Silence stretched between them. An owl hooted from a nearby tree, crickets chirped in the tall grass lining the ditch, and still he didn’t move as the ramifications of what he’d agreed to engulfed him.

About My Past, Your Future:

Callum MacLaren, a professor from Scotland, visits Willow Springs, Vermont during the Winter Solstice to study and explore the rich history of St. Joseph’s Cemetery. His encounter with a sexy soldier in a tattered Civil War uniform is a captivating puzzle, and the more he learns, the deeper his attraction.

A hundred and fifty years ago, Elijah Freeman was killed during the Second Battle of Fort Wagner and woke up in Willow Springs, the only home he’d known. Alone, he roams the town, unable to leave or interact with a single soul until an intriguing Scot addresses him. Even stranger, the man can see him, hear him, and touch him–a sizzling caress that leaves Elijah aching for more.

But will Elijah return to his ghostly form when the magic of the solstice fades, or is Callum’s love enough to keep him in the land of the living?

Genre: M/M Paranormal Erotic Romance

Excerpt My Past, Your Future:

“I’m not sure I have many answers.” And Elijah wasn’t. He’d figured a few things out over the years, but much of it was contradictory and nonsensical. Still, he relaxed a little, no longer on edge.

“Well, let’s start with you being able to touch people and them able to touch you.” As if experimentally, he placed his hand on Elijah’s. “You’re cold. Are you always cold, or is it the weather?”

Elijah cleared his throat. This was the first human touch he’d had in years, and it affected him more than he’d ever imagined. Not that he’d spent a lot of time wondering because he’d assumed it’d never happen. Should he have tried earlier, or was it, as he suspected, only this man?

Please don’t let go of my hand.

Cautiously, he curled his fingers, holding on tighter.

Callum reciprocated.

“As for temperature. I don’t understand. I don’t feel cold now, and I don’t feel hot in the summer. And summers around here can be brutal, despite how far north we are.”

Callum nodded. “Edinburgh, where I’m from, can get warm in the summer. But we’re closer to the northern point of the country, so it’s temperate as opposed to oppressive.”

His thumb caressed the juncture where Elijah’s thumb met his finger, and little zings shot through him. Like the sound he associated with the electric lights when they turned on at dusk. Of course, the whole concept of electricity was beyond him.

Australia Burns

AustraliaBurnsVolumeTwo_w14620_pp-300x430Rochester, New York – February 7, 2020 – Local publisher, The Wild Rose Press, Inc. in conjunction with some of their authors have published a three-book anthology to support the ongoing battle of the Australian wildfires as well as the recovery efforts.  All proceeds from the sale of the books will go to Recovery and Relief efforts in Australia.

Rhonda Penders, President and Editor-in-Chief said, “The project began only a couple weeks ago. We have several authors in Australia, and one in particular, Stephen B. King (not THAT Stephen King), asked if he and a few others could donate stories and have all royalties go to help in the efforts to aid victims of the Australia wildfires.”  Within days, editors, artists, and production staff along with 48 authors had signed on to make the project happen.  “Everyone came together and set their other projects aside for a week and focused completely on this. Everyone worked around the clock to get this done. It truly was a team effort.”

The books are printed locally at Book1One, located on Driving Park Avenue

https://www.book1one.com/.

“They’ve been our printer since the company opened 14 years ago and we have a great relationship with them.  Their print books are of the highest quality and they are great to work with.  When they heard about our project, they donated some of their services to help in this effort as well,” Pender said.

The print books, there are 3, are up for sale on The Wild Rose Press website.

While the book is available in print from Amazon (as well as in ebook format), Penders would prefer customers go direct to their site to purchase the print book.  “That way the profits can go direct to the cause and not be shared with outside distributors.”
